Kristine Choate is founder of The VIVID Collective, a Michigan based salon and educational community dedicated to empowering artists.
With nearly 14 years of experience in the hair industry, Kristine has navigated nearly every step of a stylist's journey. Starting as an assistant and growing into a commission stylist, she later transitioned to owning her own suite in 2018 before expanding into salon ownership in 2021.
Educating since 2019, Kristine has worked alongside brands such as Pulp Riot, Danger Jones and K18, has been recognized in Modern Salon’s Top 100 of 2025, nominated for multiple One Shot Hair Awards, and given a Legends Award by Drop Dead Hair Extensions for her artistry.
Along the way, she has gained invaluable insights through trial and error, and now she's passionate about sharing that knowledge with stylists eager to elevate their skills and thrive in their careers.
Through The VIVID Collective, she continues to elevate the hair community by bridging the gap between salon success and creative education.
